Well this is sure to cause an uproar. In today’s ForbesWoman, author Jenna Goudreau posits that women who don’t flirt are ignoring “one of their greatest career assets”—a valuable strategic tool (if used effectively), she says, to climb up the corporate ladder.
…We’ve tackled this issue before. But, um, without the photo gallery of “tips.”
Smile at people? Be charismatic? Be confident? Wow, I guess I flirt with every single person I come in contact with.
Also, this “Do” from their “Professional Flirting tips”: “Do pat a colleague on the hand.” No. Please don’t. Nobody but my dead grandmother should be patting me on the hand.
Start telling the stories that only you can tell, because there’ll always be better writers than you and there’ll always be smarter writers than you. There will always be people who are much better at doing this or doing that - but you are the only you.
Tarantino - you can criticize everything that Quentin does - but nobody writes Tarantino stuff like Tarantino. He is the best Tarantino writer there is, and that was actually the thing that people responded to - they’re going ‘this is an individual writing with his own point of view’.
There are better writers than me out there, there are smarter writers, there are people who can plot better - there are all those kinds of things, but there’s nobody who can write a Neil Gaiman story like I can.

There are a lot of cool things you’ll be able to see and do at Eyebeam’s MIXER: Past Futures party this Saturday. One of those things is making 360 degree gifs like this one in a photo booth installation I am working on. Hope you can make it!
